Refund policy
You have a 14 day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your order to exchange, return, or get a voucher for your item.
To qualify for a refund, exchange or voucher, your item must be in the same condition as when you received it, unused, with its tags and in its original packaging. Not open. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To receive a return, you can contact us at info@unjapan.jp. If your return is accepted, we'll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items returned to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Return shipping costs will be at your expense.
If your order has not yet shipped, you may be eligible for a full refund. For that, thank you for contacting us as soon as possible by email after your order has been taken. Any request for reimbursement of this type can no longer be accepted after the parcel has been sent or 48 hours after the order has been confirmed.
Damaged products and other problems.
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or you receive the wrong item, so that we can assess the problem and correct it. For this, please send us one or more photographs clearly showing what is missing. Beyond 3 days after receipt of your package, without contact from you, we will not be able to accept a return or refund. All contact must be made by e-mail to this address info@unjapan.jp
Exceptions / non-exchangeable and non-refundable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, such as personalized products or unique pieces. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns of sale items or gift cards.
Exchange
The fastest way to make sure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we have received and inspected your return and let you know whether or not the refund has been approved. If approved, you will be automatically refunded to your original payment method or by bank transfer. Keep in mind that your bank or credit card company may take some time to process and post the refund.
Cancellation
Reimbursement is unfortunately not accepted once your order has been placed. However, you can return your order to us.
If this were the case, you would be subject to the above conditions.
Customs
For most international destinations, you are solely responsible for paying any import taxes or duties that may be requested upon receipt of your package.
If you refuse to pay these charges, the package will be returned to us. After the parcel has been inspected, we will inform you of the possibility of a refund. Any approved refund will correspond to the value of your purchase excluding shipping costs.
Exception – United States:
For shipments to the United States, all import taxes and duties are prepaid and included in the shipping fee. No additional customs charges will be requested upon delivery.
